There was something pretty damn nice about the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY, on September 1, 2026. With perfect late-summer weather overhead, the crowd settled in for a night of Garcia’s music and it didn’t take long to realize just how happy everyone was to be there.

People were singing, swaying, dancing in their seats and soaking up every minute. There was an easygoing energy throughout the crowd that never really let up. The kind of night where nobody seemed to be in a hurry to leave.

You didn’t have to know every Jerry Garcia song to appreciate the atmosphere. This was a crowd that came to celebrate the music, and they were clearly having a hell of a good time doing it.

Perfect weather. Great crowd. A whole lot of dancing in the seats.

Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday night.
