Cooper Alan Gets Up Close and Personal at Chevy Court

By Renee Clark Quade

Cooper Alan made his debut at the Great New York State Fair on Thursday, August 27, taking over the Chevy Court stage with a set that was as much about connecting with the crowd as it was about the music.

He wasted little time getting up close with the fans. During the opening song, Alan grabbed a beer and worked his way along the front row, pouring it directly into the mouths of fans at the barricade. The crowd was more than happy to play along, with one fan even holding up a prosthetic leg so Alan could pour a beer into it. It was an unexpected moment that perfectly summed up the anything-goes atmosphere of his interaction with the audience.

Alan continued working the crowd throughout the set, keeping fans involved from the front row to the back of Chevy Court. He also stuck around after the show to meet fans and sign autographs, giving them another chance to get up close with the country singer.

For his first appearance at the Fair, Alan made sure the audience had plenty to remember beyond the songs themselves.
