Quiet Riot brought the classic rock to Chevy Court on opening day of the New York State Fair, giving fairgoers a chance to step back into the hard rock sound of the 1980s.

Fans from around the Fair gathered at Chevy Court to “Cum On Feel the Noize” as the band took the stage with a set filled with some of their best-known songs.

Quiet Riot performed fan favorites including “Run for Cover,” “Slick Black Cadillac,” “Mama Weer All Crazee Now,” “Cum On Feel the Noize,” and “Metal Health (Bang Your Head).” The songs had longtime fans singing along and brought plenty of classic rock energy to the Fairgrounds.

The band also mixed in a few familiar rock favorites from other artists. Their set included a cover of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell,” along with a medley featuring “Let’s Get Crazy,” Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train,” a guitar solo, and Van Halen’s “Eruption.”

There was definitely no need to “Run for Cover” as Quiet Riot kept the music loud and the crowd entertained throughout the show.

Of course, one of the biggest moments came with “Cum On Feel the Noize,” a song that has become one of the band’s signature hits. The crowd was more than ready to sing along when the familiar chorus came through Chevy Court.

Quiet Riot finished things off with another one of their biggest songs, “Metal Health (Bang Your Head),” giving fans one more chance to bang their heads and enjoy the hard rock sound that helped make the band so popular in the 1980s.

For longtime Quiet Riot fans, the show was a chance to hear some of those classic songs live again. For others walking through the Fair, it was hard not to stop for a little while and see what all the noize was about.

Quiet Riot brought plenty of classic rock to Chevy Court and helped kick off opening day of the New York State Fair with a set filled with familiar songs, loud guitars, and a few reasons for everyone to get a little crazee.
