Butch Walker announced this morning that his band the Marvelous 3 are getting back together for a long awaited reunion for their die hard fans. The reunion show will be on October 27th at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of their career altering record “Hey! Album.”
The band started as a side project in the mid-90s and played in small venues like Smith’s Old Bar or The Point in Atlanta. In 1998, their hit song “Freak Of The Week” was played on the popular radio station 99X in Atlanta, which led to their fame across the country. Despite their success, the band decided to disband after playing a big outdoor concert in Atlanta as a farewell to their fans.
Now, 25 years later, the band is reuniting for a special event. They are releasing their career-altering album “Hey! Album” on vinyl for the first time ever, along with some fun merchandise and a limited number of signed copies. The reunion show promises to be an unforgettable experience with huge stage production, video screens with previously unseen footage of the band throughout their journey since high school, and special guests. The band is excited to rock out with their fans and put smiles on their faces once more.
The Marvelous 3 are a band of brothers who have remained best friends through 35 years of playing in bands together. They are excited to remind their fans of what really matters and to spread positivity through their music. They even hint at the possibility of new music being released soon.
Their limited edition vinyl release has already sold out, but you can check out more merchandise on sale HERE. Tickets for the show go on pre-sale starting tomorrow April 26th and to the general public on Friday, April 28th HERE.
