Photos and Review by Rebecca Clark

Dax took the stage at the NY State Fair on Sunday, August 25th and his set was phenomenal. From the moment he stepped onto the stage, his energy was zealous, and his passion for his music radiated through every song. The crowd was right there with him, hanging on to every lyric and singing along with fervor.

The set kicked off with “Dear God,” immediately drawing the audience into Dax’s thought-provoking world. He seamlessly transitioned into “Devils Calling” and “A Lot At Stake,” showcasing his versatile style and thought provoking lyrics. Dax’s music is a unique blend of country and rap, fusing storytelling lyrics with dynamic beats to create a genre-defying sound.

One of the most memorable moments of the afternoon came when Dax noticed a fan holding up a sign with a “Bucket List” that read, “See Dax in concert” with a checkmark next to it and “Get selfie w/Dax” with an empty checkbox. With a big smile, Dax grabbed the sign, held it up, and asked if she wanted to check the selfie off her list. He then jumped off stage and took a selfie with the fan. It was a special moment that highlighted Dax’s genuine appreciation for his fans and their dedication to his music.

His continued with a series of powerful performances, including “To Be A Man,” “A Real Man” (performed a cappella), and “My Heart Hurts,” each song showing a different facet of Dax’s artistry. He closed out the show with “Catch the Rain” and “Joker,” and he graciously thanked his fans for being there and coming to his show.
