“You Are So Loved”: The Fan Moment That Moved Sleep Token in Cleveland

There are moments at concerts that transcend the music itself, moments where the connection between artist and audience becomes something bigger than both. At Sleep Token’s Cleveland Ritual on September 27, 2025 one of those moments unfolded.

During the closing song, “Infinite Baths,” Vessel’s voice broke with emotion as fans across the arena lifted signs that read “You Are So Loved.” The message, simple yet deeply powerful, seemed to strike a chord not only with the thousands in attendance but with Vessel himself, who appeared visibly moved, choking up as he sang.

At first, I hadn’t noticed the signs. I only heard Vessel’s voice waver, the rawness catching me off guard. But once I looked around and saw those words held high across the crowd, it hit me like a wave. Knowing the layers of Sleep Token’s lyrics, the constant thread of self-doubt, love, and rebirth, seeing those fans remind him that he is loved was overwhelming.

Mid song, when he took one of the signs and held it up himself, reflecting that same message back to us, it was pure and so heartfelt, an exchange of love, grief, and healing that words can barely describe.

That moment was made possible by a fan named Nikki Lesko, who organized what became known as The Poster Project. What began as a small fan-led effort turned into one of the most emotional fan interactions in Sleep Token history.

“This ‘Poster Project’ actually started out as something completely different,” Nikki explained. “I had initially started with the idea of having four large signs that people on the barrier would hold over the gate during ‘Infinite Baths.’ But once I saw venue policies about large posters, I decided to add the ‘You Are So Loved’ signs as a backup, just in case.”

The “backup” ended up changing everything. Nikki and several other fans connected through Sleep Token Facebook groups to print and distribute hundreds of small paper signs before the show.

“I wanted to involve more of the audience and make sure our message really made an impact,” she said. “We couldn’t get the big signs in, but the impact of the individual papers was so much greater than I ever could have dreamed.”

Even though the phrase “You Are So Loved” is simple and familiar, Nikki felt it was exactly what was needed.

“It’s not a unique message. It’s everywhere,” she admitted. “But that’s what makes it so powerful. It feels like the message we all need right now, and judging by Vessel’s reaction, I think it was.”

As the lights dimmed and the first notes of “Infinite Baths” filled the arena, Nikki didn’t know what to expect.

“When the song started, I heard these crinkling noises that sounded like paper, and then I saw all these signs popping up, one by one,” she recalled. “And then Vessel saw them too. I think he started crying, and I did too. When he took one himself and held it up to us, I openly wept. Just ugly, wailing sobs. It was lightning in a bottle.”

Fans across the arena shared the same reaction, strangers hugging, tears streaming, phones shaking as they tried to capture what was happening. For a band that rarely speaks and guards its identity behind masks, the silence has always made these moments of connection feel even more sacred.

“Behind those masks, they’re people just like us,” Nikki said. “They’ve been through struggles to get where they are. They’re constantly fighting negativity online, and I just got this feeling that they needed a hug, that they needed to be reminded that they really are so very loved.”

After the show, the emotional energy rippled far beyond the walls of the Cleveland venue. Photos, TikToks, and fan art flooded social media, with the moment going viral across the Sleep Token community.

“My phone just started dinging nonstop,” Nikki said. “I was sitting in the parking lot, still stunned, and I couldn’t believe how many people were messaging and posting. Influencers, artists, even Rockfeed shared it. Seeing the photos from up high and realizing how many people actually participated, my heart just swelled.”

Even in the middle of processing what had just happened, Nikki’s first instinct was gratitude. “This truly could never have happened without so many magical people helping me print and pass out signs,” Nikki said. “This moment never would have happened without them, and there were no words I could share that would ever genuinely thank them enough.”

Now, what started as a one-night gesture has evolved into something bigger.

“I want this to be a movement,” Nikki said. “We’re all living through such a divisive time. I think we need this positivity, this reminder that we’re all worthy of love. We have the power to give that love to people around us rather than just existing in an echo chamber of hate. I want to see how far we can spread this message for good.”

For many, the “You Are So Loved” moment was about more than fandom; it was a mirror reflecting what Sleep Token’s music already embodies: vulnerability, humanity, and the courage to feel deeply.

“I’m just one person, one silly girl who had this silly idea about a silly stack of paper,” Nikki said. “But it meant something. It showed that we can make an impact, even in small ways. So whatever you do, don’t give up. Share your ideas, take the risk, and keep shining your light, because the world needs it more than ever.”

When I asked her what Sleep Token means to her, her answer felt like the perfect closing thought, one that captures what so many fans feel but struggle to put into words.

“Sleep Token brought me back to myself,” she said. “Their music makes life feel magical again, like being a kid during the holidays, full of wonder and possibility. It’s like standing at the edge of the ocean or at the foot of a waterfall and realizing how beautiful it is just to exist. That’s what they give us, that reminder that even in the darkness, we are loved, we are alive, and we are part of something bigger.”

In a world that often feels loud, divided, and overwhelming, music remains one of the few places where strangers can gather and feel understood without saying a word. At a Sleep Token ritual, you only have to look around to know you’re surrounded by people who feel the music as deeply as you do, people who carry the same lyrics in their bones, who find healing in the same melodies, who show up ready to give as much as they receive.

Moments like Cleveland are reminders that community still exists in its purest form: thousands of hearts beating in time, lifting one another up when it’s needed most. No matter how chaotic things may seem outside those arena walls, there are spaces and people who will remind you of something simple and true: you are so loved. Worship.
