Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace, known for their 2000 album Spiritual Machines, is currently on tour with The Wonderful Future Tour. The tour features American futurist scientist Ray Kurzweil’s voice, as heard on their Spiritual Machines album. The tour also promotes their latest album, Spiritual Machines 2, which was released in January 2022 and includes new predictions for the future from Kurzweil.

The band’s live performance is not only incredible, but it also creates a special connection with their fans. Lead vocalist Raine Maida is an interactive frontman who also manages to go to an internal place while singing, adding a raw and powerful element to the performance.

Throughout the show, Our Lady Peace included many guests who joined them virtually via a 6-foot screen, including original guitarist Mike Turner and Pussy Riot! singer Nadya Tolokonnikova. This use of technology added to the overall experience of the show and elevated their songs.

During the show, Maida expressed the band’s frustration with traditional social media platforms and streaming services, leading to the creation of drops.com. This platform provides a direct connection between artists and their audience without the interference of middlemen like ticket vendors or social media platforms. Fans who join the community receive exclusive content not available on any other platform.

Toward the end of the set, Maida jumped into the audience and sang in the middle of the venue, creating a frenzy of excitement among the fans.

Our Lady Peace’s hour-and-a-half set included songs from almost all of their studio albums, satisfying the fans in attendance. Overall, the show was a powerful and unique experience that showcased the band’s talent and forward-thinking approach.
